UPDATED INFORMATION ON THE ARRIVAL OF YACHTSMEN TO THE CUBAN MARINAS

Last Tuesday, October 19, at a press conference, the Minister of Tourism of Cuba inform about the new measures that will be applied, as of November 7, at Cuban airports, ports and marinas.

Our Hemingway International Yacht Club of Cuba joins the effort to disseminate, among yachtsmen, the measures that will be applied in the Cuban marinas as of next November.

They are as follows:
• As of November 7, the mandatory quarantine of yachtsmen and international travelers arriving in Cuba will be eliminated.
• By November 15, the border entry PCR is eliminated.
• All travelers (Cubans or foreigners) who enter the country must present a health passport or international anticovid certificate for those vaccines certified by the corresponding regulatory agencies.
• Those who do not have these documents are obliged to present a PCR negative covid-19 certification at the arrival of the country with no less than 72 hours before traveling, carried out in a certified laboratory in the country of origin.
• Epidemiological surveillance of international sanitary control will be maintained in all international marinas.
• Children under 12 years of age, regardless of their nationality, will be exempt from presenting a vaccination schedule or PCR test upon arrival in Cuba.
• The presentation of the Traveler's Declaration of Health (Affidavit of Health) will be required for all those who arrive in the country.
• The mandatory use of the mask is maintained within the marinas, as in the entire country.
• The International Sanitary Control staff will randomly take samples for PCR in the marinas.
• All travelers or yachtsmen who arrive in the country and show signs and symptoms of covid-19 or another communicable disease will be referred to a health institution and a PCR test will be performed.
